I got my first client from guru.com, second one from cadtutor.net, Third one from contractedwork.com, fourth one again from guru, fifth one from rentacoder.com....and so on.. lol..
I want to add few words to the people who are new in realm of freelance CAD Works.
1. Portfolio: Put your attention to the portfolio section of your webpage. It should to be clean, easy to understand and valid. If you do not have a webpage..there are several sites who provide free spaces for creating portfolios.. such as coroflot.com , googlepages.com etc.. Do not publish any work that does not belong to you or which are copyright protected 2. Service: Please describe the services you are able to provide. 3. Projects: Apply for the projects that matches your experience/skills best. It is always a good idea to provide the samples of your previous completed projects which are similar in scope. 4. Price/rate: As a beginner, you should be careful about your hourly rate or project cost. So, fixed your rate such a way that is fare to both of you. 5. Time: Also calculate the total time that you will take to complete the project. 6. Marketplace: CadLore is obviously a good site to start your career with. But, do not forget to visit other sites that offer freelance jobs..etc.
